The Geelong FreeNet project is an initiative of ViewBank Rise Networks designed to encourage the growth of a community wireless network across Geelong and suburbs.

The Geelong FreeNet concept is to provide a means for network participants to access and share resources across a fast broadband network at no cost other than the installation and maintenance of their own access equipment.

We have now joined the Melbourne Wireless community network! Connection to the Geelong FreeNet now automatically provides access to the MelbourneWireless network and all associated resources!
